Money without meaning is just money. But a legacy creates a gift that children, grandchildren, and charitable institutions can cherish for many years. Every day that I work with my clients I learn their driving force. Meaning, what has driven them to the familial, financial, and charitable success’s that they have achieved. I help my clients weave their values into their estate plan so that their money is elevated into a legacy.
My Families Legacy
My grandparents left me a legacy defined by hard work, faith, and charity. That legacy has shaped me as a person both professionally and personally. Practicing estate planning allows me to help others shape their own legacy for their families and their contributions to society. I have gone through the effects of a troubled and inefficient estate plan when my grandparents passed away. On one side of my family, the siblings have not spoken to each other for over 20 years. I would not recognize that side of the family if I met them in the street. How sad. I understand that some familial relationships are tenuous, but there are many simple ways that thorough and sensitive estate planning can help avoid those conflicts. I want my clients next generation to avoid the same fate that befell my own family.
History
I grew up in New Mexico and California watching my lawyer father help victims seek justice. I knew I wanted to be an attorney and help people as well. But his practice area was not my calling. I discovered my calling when I thought about the generations of my family who had shaped my character. I attained my Juris Doctor (JD) degree at St. Johns School of Law in Jamaica, New York. I am the managing partner of The Robinson Law Firm, located in Bala Cynwyd, PA. There I serve clients in Philadelphia, King of Prussia, Springfield and Conshohocken as well as towns along the Main Line like Bala Cynwyd, Merion Station, Radnor, Villanova, and Wayne. I am admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA).
My goals
I bring my values to work with me by dedicating myself to a client-first philosophy, and making it a priority to fully understand my clients’ needs, goals, dreams and concerns. I strive to create a highly effective and warm client environment. I then work with my clients to develop superior and highly individualized plans.
My passion for my clients led me to develop a process called the 5-Step Wealth and Legacy Preservation Process. This process allows clients to identify their concerns and their individual goals. It provides clients with education about their legal options and involves them in the creation of their plan.
Education
I believe that education is one of the most important aspects of life and I am grateful that in America everyone is afforded the opportunity to attain a higher education. For this reason, I spend time educating my clients about estate planning and what their plan consists of. Moreover, The Robinson Law Firm hosts professional study groups to expand knowledge of estate planning techniques through interdisciplinary exchange. I teach continuing education courses on estate planning to CPAs, Certified Financial Planners, and Insurance professionals, as well as other attorneys.
Personal
I live on the Main Line with my husband and two energetic sons and baby girl. I enjoy travel, reading, and cooking healthy and delicious meals to share with my family and friends.
Practice Concentrations
I concentrate my practice in the areas of wealth transfer and preservation. This includes general estate and legacy planning, physician planning, planning for young families, charitable estate planning, special needs planning, sophisticated tax planning, faith based planning, private foundations, family limited partnerships, asset protection planning, exit planning, business continuation planning, probate and estate administration.
